At A Remedy Home Care and Adult Day Center, we’re here to make life a little easier for families in Spartanburg County, SC—including Roebuck, Moore, Reidville, and Spartanburg. We provide loving care for seniors, veterans, and disabled adults, whether at home or at our Adult Day Center.

Our story begins with Miranda Chalk, a nurse with years of experience in home health and hospice care. Miranda’s journey to starting A Remedy Home Care comes from her heart—and her personal experience caring for her loved ones.

It all started when her father had a heart attack that put him in a medically induced coma. Over the next year, he had two major surgeries, both requiring long hospital stays and tough recoveries. That same year, her grandmother fell seriously ill and passed away after a long time in the hospital. Then, Miranda’s mother had a stroke and spent a month in intensive care before needing extensive rehabilitation.

Through all of this, Miranda saw how hard it was for families to manage caregiving, both emotionally and physically. As a caregiver herself, she felt the weight of the stress, the exhaustion, and the tough decisions. And that’s when she decided to create something better—a place where families could find the care and support they needed without doing it all alone.

In October 2022, Miranda expanded A Remedy Home Care to include the A Remedy Adult Day Center, providing a safe, caring space for seniors and adults with disabilities to spend the day while their families can take a break or go about their day with peace of mind.

We are proud to be licensed by the South Carolina Department of Public Health to serve families across Spartanburg County, and it’s our privilege to help people live with dignity and support, whether it’s in their own home or at our Adult Day Center in Roebuck.

Miranda’s journey continues to guide everything we do. It’s not just about care—it’s about helping you feel supported, understood, and not alone.
